Grover Beach Police say a Southern California man is behind bars after attempting to steal a woman’s car yesterday. Police say they received a report just before 6:30 a.m. of a man being pinned to the ground at the train station in Grover Beach. Investigators discovered 26-year-old Sergio Deharo had allegedly tried to steal the car as the woman was waiting at the station. A witness was able to remove Deharo from the vehicle and hold him until police arrived. He’s now facing several charges including attempted carjacking and a parole violation.
