Santa Maria DUI Checkpoint Nets Zero Arrests

The Santa Maria Police Department says, Officers screened 417 cars at a Friday night DUI checkpoint and made zero arrests. The checkpoint was set up on North Broadway between 6 p.m. and 3 a.m… Officers were checking for impaired drivers. And while no one going through the checkpoint was arrested for DUI, no one was cited for driving without a license. Officials say drivers caught driving impaired can expect to pay up to 13,500 dollars in fines and legal fees.
