Downtown SLO officials have decided not to go forward with a property-based tax proposal that would have affected a portion of Downtown San Luis Obispo. The Downtown SLO board of directors voted yesterday to not move forward with the plan that could have brought roughly 400,000 dollars annually. That money would have been used for cleaning the streets and providing resources for visitors and the homeless. Officials say the proposal had become too divisive.
