A new direct flight from San Luis Obispo to San Diego debuts this afternoon. The Alaska Airlines, daily, non-stop will take just over an hour. The maiden flight leaves San Luis Obispo this afternoon at 2:10 and is scheduled to arrive in San Diego at 3:17. San Luis Obispo Airport officials say the San Diego route is the eighth daily, non-stop destination from SLO including Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, and Denver, with flights to Portland starting in June.
