Yesterday marked the 24th anniversary of Kristin Smart’s disappearance. She was a freshman at Cal Poly in 1996 when she went missing after leaving a party. The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s office considers her case active. Yesterday, community members gathered together in her honor and held a “Cruise for Kristin” which went from the Village of Arroyo Grande and ended at the Kristin Smart memorial in Shell Beach.
