Firefighters Getting Upper Hand With Branch Fire

Cal Fire Firefighters are getting the upper hand on the Branch Fire burning in California Valley. Evacuation orders for residents in the area have been lifted. Crews are currently working on strengthening containment lines and hot spots. The flames destroyed two structures and 10 outbuildings and scorched roughly 3,022 acres. According to Cal Fire SLO’s Twitter feed, the Branch Fire is currently 75 percent contained.
