Five of the San Luis Obispo Black Lives Matter protesters arrested following a two-hour standoff in June will be facing misdemeanor charges when they appear in court this morning. They face up to six months in jail and 1,000 dollar fines. Meanwhile, according to the Tribune, the motorcyclist who struck a Black Lives Matter protester in a crosswalk during a small march in downtown San Luis Obispo faces the same penalties. He’s due in court in November.
