A motel that had been on Traffic way in Arroyo Grande since at least the late 1930s is now just a memory. The Arroyo Grande Motel had been owned by Dalu Patel until he passed away in September last year. Neighbors say they were not notified about the demolition. And were shocked to see demolition crews tearing it down. There is no official word on what will take the place of the building.
