A pet shop with three locations on the Central Coast has been named in a lawsuit that accuses it of selling pure-bred puppies from puppy mills. That’s a violation of California law. According to the Tribune, Animal Kingdom Pet Shop and an alleged non-profit Bark Adoptions are accused of being involved in a “puppy laundering operation” that sells puppies from a company called Rescue Pets Iowa Corp. to pet stores for profit. Defendants in the suit have, so far, made no comment.
