San Luis Obispo police are reminding everyone to remember to lock your car doors and keep your valuables out of sight. Officials say the department has seen a spike in reported thefts from vehicles. Between February and March the department has seen a 17 percent spike in thefts from vehicles around the city. Last month alone, 27 thefts were reported. 16 of those were from vehicles that were unlocked. The report should serve as a reminder to lock your car doors and don’t leave valuables in your vehicle.
