Quake Rattles North County

A 3.5-magnitude earthquake rattled northern San Luis Obispo County late last night. The U.S. Geological Survey reports that the quake happened at 10:22. It was centered about 5 miles west of Templeton and could be felt as far south as Lompoc and as far north as Bradley. A couple of aftershocks have been reported this morning with magnitudes of 3.0. About 500 Central Coast residents reported feeling the quake on the U.S. Geological Survey’s “Did You Feel It?” section of their website. No damage or injuries have been reported.
