Wine Growers Hoping For Bumpers Crop

A cool spring and our recent heatwave have wine grape growers hoping for a bumper crop at harvest time. Just last week growers had vines with yellowish leaves due to a lack of sun, but things are getting into gear and the vines are growing fast. Wine growers are always on a razor’s edge between not enough sunshine and too much of a good thing. Wine grape vines generally like temperatures in the 70s and 80s but an extended heatwave could be devastating to crops.
