In an effort to cut costs, the City of Lompoc is reducing hours in one of its departments. The City Hall business tax and building division counters will see a reduction in the number of hours they will be open. The business tax counter will now be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m… The building division counter will be open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m… While Lompoc is cutting, Santa Maria is adding 57 new positions thanks to a one-cent tax increase from Measure U.
