The company that owns what used to be the iconic Alex Bar-B-Q in Pismo Beach has filed suit against the construction company that allegedly demolished the building illegally last year. According to the suit, Kain Building and Design Group, LLC, a San Luis Obispo-based contractor, was negligent and in breach of contract when they demolished the 80-year-old building. Permits for the sight have since been pulled by city officials. Playa Dulce officials are seeking unspecified damages when they go to trial in December.
