California’s fires continue to burn, with its most powerful, the Kincade fire, actually becoming less contained…and spreading to more than 66-thousand acres. California Governor Gavin Newsom told reporters…the state is allocating a huge portion of resources and personnel…to overcome this rapidly-moving fire. Newsom said, “Kincade fire remains the most stubborn challenge that we face and is immediately of top priority and focus. Over 3000 individuals are working just on the Kincade fire.” On Friday Newsom issued a state of emergency for the counties of Sonoma and Los Angeles due to the effects of the Kincade and Tick fires.
