A couple from Tulare is going to be spending a little extra time on the Central Coast. Morro Bay Police responded to a tip that they were trying to sell gift cards at the Cypress Plaza shopping center Wednesday morning. A traffic stop led police to Leo Alberti, who was driving on a suspended license and in possession of about 15 grams of methamphetamine. His passenger, Tracie Wooster, was allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance. She admitted trying to sell a gift card she had received legitimately. Police say there has been an uptick with criminals buying gift cards with stolen credit/debit cards and then selling the gift cards for cash
