A nine-month-long investigation has landed a Pismo Beach bookkeeper in hot water. 55-year-old Ginger Mankins is accused of bilking two Arroyo Grande agriculture businesses out of roughly 5 million dollars. The San Luis Obispo County D.A.’s office says Mankins is facing 15 felony counts of grand theft by embezzlement. Between May 2007 and February 2018, she allegedly stole funds from Rick Machado Livestock. And She also allegedly stole money from B&D Farms between August 2012 and December 2019. Mankins has pleaded not guilty to the charges against her. She’s due back in court on Friday.
