Officials at Vandenberg Air Force Base have declared a public health emergency. Officials say the declaration is a proactive step to protect the health and safety of personnel in accordance with the Department of Defense, CDC, and state and local officials. Adding that the move is designed to protect the people while also ensuring our ability to carry out our national security mission. There are currently no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the base.
