The search for the man authorities believe is responsible for yesterday’s ambush shooting continues this morning. During an initial search, officers found the body of a male victim who had also been shot. Paso Robles Police Chief Ty Lewis said it appeared to be a transient man in the area had been camping out overnight was likely shot at close range to the back of the head, one shot. Investigators believe 26-year-old Mason James Lira may be involved in the victim’s death. Lira is still on the loose and considered armed and dangerous.
