The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an officer involved shooting in Santa Maria. Officers were called out to a report of a man with a gun at the Boomers Miniature Golf Arcade in Santa Maria just before 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon. By the time officers had arrived on the scene at 2250 North Preisker Lane, employees had customers sheltering inside. one officer fired his weapon, hitting the suspect. Other officers treated the man’s injuries before he was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
