School districts on the Central Coast continue to make plans for the new school year. The Santa Maria Joint Union High School District board met last night to lay out a plan for a safe reopening. The plan includes, the district remaining virtual for the fall semester, and possibly transitioning to a 25 or 50 percent capacity hybrid model in the spring. While students will start the year virtually, teachers will teach from their classrooms on campus.
