San Luis Obispo County colleges received millions in federal financial aid due to the ongoing pandemic. The money came mainly from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act funds, which the schools obtained in late April. Since then, Cuesta College plans to distribute nearly $1.8 million to students affected by the pandemic. Cal Poly has already distributed nearly $7 million to more than 6,700 students.
