One person is dead following a weekend car crash in Atascadero. Police say it happened Saturday night at about 8:15 near the intersection of Highway 41 and Cholare Road. According to the Tribune, two cars were racing before one of them collided with a tree. The person was pronounced dead by the time officers arrived. The investigation is ongoing.
