Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham has co-authored a bill that could help California meet its renewable energy goals. According to KSBY, AB525 lays out a strategy to build offshore wind projects and requires federal, state, and local agencies to reach 10 gigawatts of wind power by 2040. The plan would also include using Diablo Canyon’s existing grid infrastructure to distribute power from the turbines.
