Atascadero Unified School District has become the first in San Luis Obispo County to welcome back middle and high school students for in-person learning. Now that San Luis Obispo is in the Red Tier of California’s reopening plan, about half of all registered students returned to class. Some parents opted to keep their students home. District officials say there are plans to have all district staff vaccinated in the next two months.
