SLO County Planning What To Do With COVID-19 Relief Funding

A portion of the 1.9 trillion dollar COVID-19 relief bill recently approved by Congress is headed to San Luis Obispo County. Supervisors are working on a plan that they feel will best serve the county. Supervisor Bruce Gibson says the funding could go to several areas that have been hit by the pandemic. Households, small businesses, non-profits, and industries such as tourism and hospitality could see some of the 54.9 million dollars. A sub-committee should have a report by the end of next month. According to KSBY, Santa Barbara County expects 86.6 million dollars in recovery funds.
