A favorite trail among walkers, joggers, and bicyclists will finally connect San Luis Obispo to the beach. An 18 million dollar grant from the California Active Transportation Program will pay for the final 4.5-mile leg of the Bob Jones City-to-Sea Bike Trail, which will connect the Octagon Barn staging area in San Luis Obispo with the trail’s parking hub in Avila Beach. Completion of the project is expected by 2025.
