Cal Fire SLO and San Luis Obispo City firefighters were called out last night to a report of a stranded hiker on Bishop Peak. The first call came in at around 8:30. Rescuers found the hiker in about an hour, but their location would require a rope rescue. A helicopter was eventually called in from Santa Barbara County for assistance. Cal Fire says the hiker was not injured but was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
