Just two days into summer, and the U.S. Drought monitor has labeled much of San Luis Obispo County as, in an “extreme drought.” A few weeks ago, SLO county was in a less severe category of “severe drought.” Water-use restrictions could be on the horizon if the drought conditions continue, and reservoir levels continue to drop. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicts drought conditions will continue into September.
