Since California’s reopening, and ongoing recovery you may have noticed “Now Hiring, or Help Wanted” signs in the windows of some of your favorite local businesses. Business owners in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties say they are having trouble hiring enough staff for day-to-day operations. Experts point to generous unemployment benefits as part of the problem. But, they also say now is the time to start looking for work. Pandemic unemployment funds will end in a couple of months and the “now hiring” signs will disappear.
