A month-long investigation led to the arrested of a Santa Maria man yesterday. According to the Santa Barbara County D.A.’s Office, search warrants were served at locations on East Sunset Avenue and East Hermosa Street. 42-year-old Gilbert Montoya was taken into custody for allegedly operating an illegal cannabis sales and delivery service in the areas of Santa Maria and Lompoc. He’s facing several drug and weapons-related charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm.
