Some of our favorite Central Coast eateries and small businesses are being forced to adapt to a lack of employees. A number of businesses were forced to lay off employees due to the pandemic, with hopes of rehiring them when the economy was reopened. Now that restrictions have been eased and businesses are reopening, workers are hard to find. Some believe the workers have decided to take jobs in different fields, while others blame expanded unemployment benefits. Those benefits end in September.
