A British parachutist is lucky to be alive after crashing through the roof of an Atascadero home earlier this week. According to a press release, the incident happened Tuesday afternoon just before 5 o’clock. The parachutist’s canopy failed to fully deploy and he began to spiral toward the ground. He eventually crashed through the roof of a home on Via Ciello. According to Camp Roberts officials, he was part of a British military training group conducting maneuvers in San Luis Obispo County. The parachutist is currently recovering from moderate injuries.
