Prices at the pump keep climbing. It’s only a penny but the Energy Department is reporting the price of regular unleaded is up again in the past week to an average of 3.13 a gallon 94 cents higher than a year ago at this time. The cheapest gas is along the Gulf Coast at 2.83. The most expensive is in California at 4.17 a gallon for regular unleaded — although in many areas of California it’s much more expensive than that. According to Triple-A San Luis Obispo averages 4.48 a gallon. Santa Barbara County is 20 cents cheaper.
