A historic Central Coast building has been closed due to safety concerns. The Cayucos Veterans Hall was recently Red-Tagged and closed indefinitely by the Fire Marshal. The hall dates back to 1872. A plan to bring the Vets Hall back could be slowed by red tape and cost. The county was awarded a $1.937 million Natural Resources Agency grant in 2019. Officials believe it would take another 3 million dollars to complete the project.
