The eighth annual Day of Hope kicks off this morning. The event is hosted by Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria and will benefit patients of the Mission Hope Cancer Center. Volunteers will be selling special Day of Hope newspapers. It will also include a car parade through Santa Maria, on Santa Maria Way, ending at the Mission Hope.
