Former Cal Poly students testified on Day 2 of the preliminary hearing for Paul and Ruben Flores. One former student described Paul Flores as a “lurker” who hung around Kristin Smart’s residence hall prior to her disappearance 25-year-ago. Another who described how she helped Kristin back toward her dorm, but “didn’t think anything bad would happen to her” when she, Paul Flores, and an intoxicated Kristin Smart parted ways. May 25th would be the last time Kristin would be seen. The Preliminary hearing is scheduled to last 12 days but could go longer.
