School mask mandates are a hot topic in San Luis Obispo County. Last night’s Lucia Mar Unified School District’s Board of Trustees meeting was supposed to inform parents about the federal and state indoor face mask guidelines the district is required to follow. But it quickly dissolved into a shouting match between board members and attendees. The mandates were also topics of discussion during the San Luis Coastal Unified and Templeton Unified School board meetings. So far each of the districts says they will follow state and federal mandates.
