The third day of testimony in the preliminary hearing of Paul and Ruben Flores focused on the days and weeks following Kristin Smart’s Disappearance. Both have pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and being an accessory. The lead investigator for the Cal Poly Police Department testified that he had interviewed Paul Flores at least twice after Kristin Smart went missing. He also talked with Flores’ roommate about a month later. He told the investigator he asked Flores if he knew anything about Kristin’s disappearance, Flores joked that she was at home with his parents. The hearing is scheduled to resume this morning.
