A new indoor mask mandate for Santa Barbara County goes into effect this evening at 5 o’clock. All residents 2-years-old and older will be required to wear a face-covering in all public indoor areas. Vaccinated residents are included in the mandate. Officials say, while unvaccinated residents make up the overwhelming majority of new COVID-19 cases in Santa Barbara County, the vaccinated population is also seeing an increase.
