A Cal Poly student injured after being hit while riding a bicycle in San Luis Obispo earlier this month has died. Cal Poly Officials sent out a notification yesterday that 23-year-old Andreas Kooi died on August 7th. He was involved in a hit-and-run incident near the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Broad Street. The 17-year-old driver was later found and is now facing charges of hit-and-run with injury and felony DUI. Those charges could change.
