The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of a man’s body between Pirate’s Cove and Avila Beach. The victim was found face down in the water off Fossil Point. First responders performed CPR but he would later be pronounced dead. Officials say, so far, there is no indication of foul play. The man’s name has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
