Threats involving a gun at Pioneer Valley High School were a hoax. School officials notified Santa Maria police after a couple of students in a class were watching a video that showed a gun in a backpack last week. Police searched the area, but no weapon was found. They did find the student responsible for the social media posts. School officials say the student was removed from school and will face disciplinary action. Santa Maria Joint Union High School District officials added that This kind of activity will not be tolerated.
