A popular San Luis Obispo puppeteer who entertained SLO County kids and their parents with mobile puppet shows has passed away. Don Wallis, “The Puppet Man,” spent the past 30 years performing thousands of shows at schools, the Nipomo Swap Meet, and at SLO’s Downtown Farmers Market on Thursday nights. Don Wallis was 74.
