For the Second time in as many weeks, a Santa Maria High School has been the target of a hoax. Santa Maria Joint Union High School District officials say a rumor about a social media threat at Pioneer Valley High School turned out to be a hoax. School officials notified Santa Maria Police of a social media threat late Wednesday. Officials were able to identify the student responsible, recovering a fake gun from their home. That student will now face disciplinary action.
