The 16th day of testimony in the Flores Preliminary Hearing included San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Detective Clint Cole returning to the stand. He told the court that searchers of Ruben Flores’ home turned up evidence that led investigators to believe that human remains had been buried under the deck. They also found a stain in a trailer that could be similar to a human being lying on its side. Three more witnesses are scheduled to take the stand this morning. Kristin Smart went missing in 1996. Her body has never been found. Paul Flores is allegedly the last person to see her alive. He’s been charged with first-degree murder.
