The gubernatorial recall wasn’t the only thing on yesterday’s ballot in Lompoc. Voters had to decide on Measure Q, a tax on cannabis manufacturing and distribution in Lompoc. At last report, the measure passing by a wide margin with 77% of the votes in favor of the tax. City Officials hope to collect 1.2 million dollars a year from the new tax. That money will go to the general fund for public safety, parks, and other projects.
