Atascadero Police have arrested a Paso Robles man they believe was involved in a fatal hit and run incident over the weekend. Sunday night police received a report of an intoxicated driver in a Jeep that was involved in a head-on crash on Highway 41 near Santa Rosa Road. The driver fled. The occupants of the second vehicle suffered minor to moderate injuries. While officers investigated the crash, they learned a pedestrian had also been hit by the Jeep and died. Yesterday morning 26-year-old Jorge Castaneda was taken into custody without incident.
