A three-year-long San Luis Obispo County D.A. investigation into the Integrated Waste Management Authority has come to a close. According to the D.A.’s office, the investigation turned up violations of internal rules, poor financial records keeping, and a lack of transparency, but no large-scale fraud. The investigation did however find enough evidence to indict former IWMA board secretary Carolyn Goodrich for embezzlement. No other chargeable crimes were found.
