The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors has decided on an interim replacement for County Clerk-Recorder. With a 4-1 vote, the board appointed Elaina Cano to fill the position of County Clerk-Recorder until the next election. She has worked as Santa Barbara County Chief Deputy Clerk-Recorder and former city clerk for San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach. The office is up for election next year.
